Distributed under the alias The Gamma Zoans, Outer Earth is a series of instrumentals which follow the story line of an AI android who witnesses a global evacuation event and then searches the cosmos to find his lost human famiily who are adrift in hypersleep in an unknown location. The work examines perceptions of artificial intelligence and the potential lasting intersection on human culture and values. Among this is the question of what is a soul exactly? And will there be a point in time where artificial lifeforms fight for their individuality? Will they seek their own religion? Will they participate in things like social uprising, vengeance, marriage, sorrow, martyrdom? And what would that say about humans who impart these things to them?

Outer Earth is the autobiographical sound ensignment of a small collection of travelers who were the first to digitize themselves into audio signal in order to survive zero proximity of an event horizon centuries from now. They will be / are / were dedicated to reverse transcending the continuum on a quest of compassion for species that are scheduled for planetary calamity.

Of the matter, their leader, Aarthur Aarmageddon is quoted as having said:

"We are cosmic mediums from the distant future. Our transmissions are those that summon the enlightened willpower which superscends mortality. All places, all things, all times. All potential of the universe are invexed within sonic capsules. May the quanta be mogrified. We are the tree, the bird, the octopus, the human, the robot. We bring warning of things to come and hope for unending survival. And most importantly, we will supply funk. For it is the F.U.N.K. that catalyzes the tachyon with the anyon. Your century and people will soon be ready."

While predominiatnly funk and rock, works in this series pack a subtle aspect of soul, jazz, pop, contemporary, and meditation, until the whole track gets launched out of the galaxy past Pegasus 51.

Whenever interviewed on his role in the band, Kern has consistently asserted that he was merely a victim of the time shift that displaced him as the recruited audio engineer, but he is the assumed composer and producer in the present timeline.
